Farrow & Ball paints are born and bred in Dorset. John Farrow, and fellow paint pioneer, Richard Ball first founded the company in 1946. Their passion for making paint using only the finest ingredients is still being matched by their craftsmen today.
John and Richard went against the trend of the 40s, shunning acrylic paints. Instead, they invested in making paints of a high refractory nature using age-old production methods and natural minerals, resin binders and high levels of rich pigment. It is this true alchemy that produces their signature immersive depth of colour.
Maintaining the quality standards of the paint and wallpaper is as important as the mixing and printing itself. Meticulous production and quality control, ensures every pot of paint has its depth and richness of colour and the wallpapers retain their uniquely tactile texture.
With a palette of 132 colours, they have set themselves aside from other paint companies by creating a product of unrivalled quality, that today is treasured all over the world.
